Golfing within walking distance! It's just a quick 10-minute walk to the Port Lucaya Marketplace and Marina--the main center for activity on Grand Bahama Island. There you'll find most of the island's restaurants and wonderful shops selling jewelry, perfume, china, T-shirts and souvenirs, as well as two straw markets selling beautifully decorated straw bags and hats, and numerous other items. Port Lucaya is also home to various water sports companies where you can take a glass bottom boat, go deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, parasailing etc. and to UNEXSO's world famous dive operation and the popular Dolphin Encounter. Outside in the Count Basie Square, there is live music and dancing each night as well as a free limbo show where you can test your agility or just relax and people-watch.

Just across the street from Port Lucaya is the Isle of Capri Casino, brand new and just opened, at Our Lucaya Resort and the public beach access to the crystal clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful sandy Lucayan Beach.
